01. The Challenge
The existing master suite was characterized by a dated, cramped layout that offered little in the way of comfort or refined style. The primary challenges included:
- Fragmented Floor Plan: A poorly designed transition between the sleeping area and the bath created "friction points" in the client's daily ritual.
- Lack of Natural Light: Small, poorly positioned windows made the space feel dark and disconnected from the Pacific Northwest landscape.
- Storage Limitations: The absence of integrated storage led to clutter, disrupting the intended atmosphere of a personal sanctuary.
Our goal was to provide a structural transformation that would improve the room's flow, usability, and overall comfort.

Structural Reconfiguration & Space PlanningWe reimagined the entire footprint, removing a partition wall to open up the transition between the bedroom and an expanded master bath. This thoughtful design maximized natural light and created the modern functionality essential for a high-end suite.
Bespoke Millwork & Integrated StorageTo solve the storage challenges, we designed custom millwork that provided a refined, personal look while optimizing the room's space. These built-in elements added architectural depth and contributed to the room's eclectic, layered styling.
Curated Aesthetic DirectionThe styling phase involved a meticulous finish selection, layering soft textures with organic Pacific Northwest influences. We integrated a bespoke lighting design to create a warm, inviting environment that serves as a true escape from the outside world.
